Let us all be zealots, but not weirdos.
God is Cool. Jesus, J'shua, is not the DEAD GOD OF CHRISTIANS, and He is acquainted with all we encounter.
If we live knowing and attentive to our faith, Jesus The Father, Son and Holy Spirit, are the occupation of our hearts. We love Him, and the more we get to know Him, the closer we are to see that HE completely understands us. He completely loves us, and He even has a sense of humor.
Remember the Pelican, and Remember the Ostrich. These are silly birds!
Jesus, GOD, He is also VERY COOL! Worship is not meant to be crusty and archaic, it is meant to engross and evoke your love relationship with Christ. For example, Christian Rock is as enjoyable as Classic Rock, only better, because it serves to promote everyone, you and I. It's purpose: to take seriously the Love and the Love Letter of God, The Bible; we hear the call to prayer.
Young or old, we dance and sing to The One God. Even outside The Church Hall, we are together in worship and praise in song, like choir music, only adapted toward EVERYDAY LIFE with Christ.
So we have so many reasons and so many blessings to enjoy.
PLEASE! You don't need to be cool, you are cool, because you
sing with an open heart, you worship and are edified by Choir and
Christian radio & C...
It's just a fact to us that we know that God Loves US. And We know that “every hair on our head is counted..”
The Zealot is he who enjoys the opportunity to share their the experiences they've had with CHRIST, the Zealot boasts only in the Lord.
WHAT'S A ZEALOT TO DO? I'm glad you asked...
1)If you see and need and can fulfill it, do so.
2)accept the opportunity to proport the love of CHRIST. DO not be embarrassed. The scheme of things in all things is even grandiose, so don't get distracted.
3)Before you can help yourself or others you must: surrender your intellect to GOD. (“The Age of Enlightenment”
seems to me have been (spiritually) one of our darkest hours; it was so to speak, “a head on collision between faith and intellect;” it had become a place where empirical and hypothetical nuances challenged our faith). God Himself teaches: to obtain wisdom we must seek wisdom; so it is you can be a zealot and enjoy intellectual pursuits also. Hence...
These (new developments in intellectual life,) can easily be called HERESIES, but think harder in “Discovery”we have learned and advanced our intellect, observed that new knowledge and re-examined our faith system.
I like to think, that God Himself is spoon feeding us empirical “Facts” that develop and change over time. Perhaps it is to me, and to others, The Wisdom of The Bible is a “Time clock.” And the ominous workings and methods of all creation are unfolding. Asking, you would not be equipped to comprehend most of it.
An Analogy serves well:
I like to think: When a toddler goes under the kitchen sink, and is caught just before he/she ingests a toxic chemical, we are called to act quickly, in defense of and protect the child.
SO, it is with ourselves and God: He doesn't explain the entire meaning of the Universe, he allows us to develop, enhance and
discover creation. Much like the parent, for He is OUR FATHER,
He makes commandments, or something we can understand.
Much the same way you would say,“NO NO, BOO BOO,..THAT WILL HURT YOUR BELLY!”
DO You see the similarity? (One is GOD and the other is His Child).
You cannot explain it all to a child, but you act to protect and preserve, much the way our Father, through The Bible is there to serve, protect and encourage us.
SO “God makes wise the simple,” because we don't know all things, its simple to seek GOD who does.
Have faith that the message may simply be: “Thou shalt not, and Thou shalt.” From our forefathers we have gathered many such new discoveries and in time we have come back to Him and acknowledged: “intelligent design” & statistically impossibilities that He IS and He is who HE says He is...,
So what is a zealot to do? Just serve GOD, in word and deed, and never turn away from an opportunity to advance His Message of Love..
That's all of it really, but also, as you walk in the world you will
encounter those who think they are walking alone.
In time, if administered correctly, religion will serve to bring you to worship, and worship will lead you to praise. Praise will lead you
to delight, to fellowship and peace beyond all understanding.
HOW DOES ONE PREPARE?
WHAT ELSE? Well, I'm glad you asked:
4)Humble yourself before HIM.(“in all your ways acknowledge Him and HE will make your path straight.”)
5)Share unabashedly, with poise and balance. Don't BE A WEIRDO! State the State of the State of GRACE.
6)Live, Love, Laugh. Have Belief witness and Service; Love God; Love Learning and do good deeds...(remember: “...faith without works is dead)....Thou shalt love The Lord thy God, will all thy heart, and all thy soul and all thy mind and all thy strength, and thou shalt love your neighbor as yourself.”
7)Praise God in all things, inwardly and outwardly.Praise God in all things, Great and Small.
8)If you cant pray, pray that you'll pray...Continually ask God: God, Please, bless me, protect me, lead me and guide me...always remind me you are within and beside me. Blessed be God Forever.
9)Exercise in word and deed: Belief, witness, service.You will, if you are successful, share the Lord, proport the faith in
Him and live a good life. There is no need to be overzealous, there is just a need to know God, to Love God and to share your experience with Him; Let people know, for certain, the God loves and cares for us.
You don't have to beat people over the head with scriptures, you don't need to preach to them, but you are obligated and obliged to give your testimony to help protect encourage and love one another.
This in itself is another form of worship.
Its a ladder: first you do or do not grow up in The Church, and you develop your theories as you go. Religion, in service to us, of no real use to God, is a VEHICLE, A TOOL and NOT intended to be a WEAPON. Unfortunately, many seek to legitimize their out of control over exposure.
These are not ZEALOTS, these are Lunatics. If you want people to change their lives, to be enriched and Follow CHRIST FIRST, you
must teach the lessons of The Law, the words of the Prophets, and
the life and love of The Lord Jesus.
It is not required to chastise, or rarely is it necessary to admonish, instead it is to SHARE THE JOY of living as a Christian.
If you fail to answer and exhort THE LORD, it will come down upon your head. You have an obligation to help others, enjoy and share faith, and you must impart GOD to others, especially when they query you.
Zealots, I call them, don't seek to evangelize, but when called we do the best we can to proport, explain and express the LOVE that is OUR GOD.
So, a zealot, is one who delights in their testimony, shares it freely, but never injects religion, worship of praise onto others.
These who seek GOD, through you, are elected to get testimony from you, because “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of GOD.” Remember that all along....
Don't fret, some will snarl at you, others will avoid the issue itself, some will even turn and avoid you too; all the while this is the very thing they are seeking. Sorrow can be turned into joy.
Ive seen those who deliberately reference GOD, inject his name in conversation, and then these same ones recoil from your words of worship and praise.
SO what is it? It is that you may just be called “to seed” with them?
They can use you as a resource, or they can walk away, or you both can share the Glory of The Lord Jesus. “Where two or more are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst.”
Most often, those who query, express their lack and ask about your faith are themselves lost. You are not saving them, That's God's job.
You don't have to feel that your saving them, because most often, that's not your job. I see that YOUR JOB is to just invite them to worship, and express how beautiful the love of GOD is.
YOU ARE A MESSENGER, WILLING OR UNWILLING, CALLED TO TESTIFY, OR CALLED TO SEED.
THE ENVIRONMENT IN THE CHURCH OF GOD SHOULD ALWAYS BE FELLOWSHIP, WORSHIP AND PRAISE.
WE ARE MOST OFTEN TO JUST BE A RESOURCE.
You most probably wont be prepared for the task, should someone seeking speak to you about or express interest in GOD.
Remember, God chose Moses, and when Moses said, (Paraphrase)
“Lord, I'm not a great speaker..” The Lord Responded, “I will send AARON with you.”
“God makes wise the simple,” and He delights in His children, so it is we may be unprepared.We may think others can proport the faith better, but it is GOD who has chosen you, at any moment to fulfill His mission. He delights in unlikely sources!
SO, it will come to pass: “Every knee shall bend and every tongue shall profess The King of Kings and The Lord of Lords,” whether you step up or not. It will happen with or without you. This is no grandiose idea or delusional sense.
You will, as others and I have been, be very surprised toward what people ask. You may do well and take comfort that The Lord has you there, wants your delivery, and He has elected you, and all others, to the task of helping others.
His words will serve, just say what you know, and do not worry that its not “Scholarly” just tell the simple tale from Christ's Love Letter to us.
J'shua, said: “I have come to fulfill The Law, not to ABOLISH it....not the slightest letter or stroke of The Law will pass away until all is accomplished....Thou shalt love The Lord thy God, will all your heart, and all your soul and all your strength, and thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself.
That's so simple even a child can understand it. That's good,because we are His Children.
